I didn't wake until 11:00 and stayed in bed until 11:30, enjoying the rest. I took a shower hoping that the two blue taps were actually one cold and one hot. Sadly, I was mistaken. Both taps were plumbed into the cold water supply and it was cold! At noon we were watching the Australian grand prix which turned out to be an ITV feed so we had the luxury of English commentary from the likes of Martin Blundell.

We dined at 14:45 and were given a choice of half a dozen sandwiches or a pancake. I opted for a cheese sandwich, fully aware that the cheese would undoubtedly be processed cheese, and Ian opted for a banana pancake. He seemed pleased with his lunch when it arrived but I was a little surprised to receive only two sandwiches and a mouthful of another, some time after Ian had finished his meal. Naturally the cheese was processed, which was fine, but the offering left me hungry and the price was way too expensive at MRG 14.50! The bus fare from Kuala Lumpur was only MRG 12.95!

We spent the rest of the day resting and reading, enjoying a day of complete relaxation. Just before dusk we heard some rumblings of thunder and as we made for dinner, another curry with beer, we witnessed a fantastic lightening show north of the Cameron Highlands that lit up the sky behind the clouds. There wasn't a sound to be heard to accompany the show. It was incredibly beautiful.
