I turned the alarm off soon after 09:30 but remained in bed, asleep, for a while longer. At noon I woke Ian who got up, showered and disappeared off to the cybercafe. He still hadn't uploaded his journal entries to the current date and was keen to do so before we leave Singapore. Sometime after he went I got up and showered, taking my time, then had a mini pedicure and manicure, which was a bit difficult with only some nail clippers and an emery board. Then I wrote my journal of yesterday and joined Ian in the cyber cafe to type it up.
An hour and a half later we emerged together, at 15:30, and we settled for a mug of hot chocolate and a slice of cheesecake for pseudo lunch. While we sat inside the skies opened, drenching the pavement outside. Ian paid another visit to the cyber cafe and completed his journal. I made a start on making a plan for Malaysia.
On our way out of the hotel as we were descending in the lift we were halted on the fifth floor and a man tried to enter the lift. In the end he did so successfully, despite Ian continuously pressing the 'close doors' button and at the same time declaring 'this isn't very good, the doors don't want to stay open'. The man that had entered the lift uttered a thank you to Ian. He didn't seem to realise that Ian was responsible for the lift doors repeatedly trying to squash him. Naturally I struggled to keep a straight face as the doors kept bouncing off of the man and on exiting the lift I explained to Ian the simple matter of why the lift doors closed.
We returned to Pasta Fiesta for another meal of excellent standard then spent another 30 minutes in the cyber cafe.
Ian then went off in the direction of the Manchester United Red Cafe in hope of catching the Worthington Cup Final between Liverpool and Manchester United while I made progress on the plan for Malaysia.
