With sore feet from yesterdays walking we set off down Orchard Road with the intention of visiting the Botanic Gardens. We made it as far as the favourite camera shop and after some deliberation Ian bought a range of Sony products at a cost of SGD 1,515. This will definately be recorded as an exceptional item in the budget! Still, he's very pleased with his new Cybershot and accompanying marine pack. He's also very keen to play with it underwater in the hotel swimming pool...
Once Ian had finished playing with his toys for the moment we spent 4 hours in the cyber cafe uploading our journal entries.
During a break and after perusing the many available eateries on the ground floor of Le Meridien shopping mall we settled for a pasta restaurant, possibly the only eatery what had table service. I ordered a Salmone Affumicato which was spaghetti with salmon and ikura in a double cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious. The ikura was amazing little balls of strong fish taste and I'd love to cook with them.
Ian tried to exchange his camera as we suspect there may be a fault with it while I read my book in the hotel room. 30 minutes later he returned having found the camera shop to be closed and we returned to the cyber cafe until closing time.
