I woke up early this morning thinking it was really quite late and I had done my usual of outstaying my welcome in someone's spare room. Having replaced my contact lenses without venturing outside of my sleeping bag I was disappointed to note it wasn't even 8 o'clock! I lay my head down again for a while longer.
When I did manage to get up, I began the day by opening the back door to the rather excitable pups, one of which instantly ran upstairs and woke my hosts by presenting her muddy paws on their crisp white duvet... When Natalie descended the staircase I began my apologies, having shut the dogs outside...
Later on, the pups had calmed down and I took the opportunity to take a couple of snaps of the loveable cuties. The former is Cass, aged 12 months and the latter is Beau, aged 8 months.
Sometime later, the family grouped and we left in search of an accommodating pub for a Sunday roast. We left it too late. There were too many of us. We ended up in a Beefeater, following a very picturesque journey through country lanes, where this photograph was taken.
