As I write the final words of yesterday's entry there are three monkeys playing in the tree right next to the tent. They momentarily pauswe, come closer, then run to the next tree, chasing their playmates.
I spent five minutes this morning chasing a cricket around the tent before packing up camp for the drive back through Chirundu to Lusaka. Our drive today is 680 kilometres. It was stinking hot again in the truck today and we were on the road from 07:00 until 17:00. There's little to do on these 'bus days' so most people have forty winks every hour.
Tonight we camp at Zulu's Kraal, outside Petauke.
