Another 6am rise. . Almost everyone is keeping a journal -- that said about half the group are travelling around the world.
We were harrassed by a goat whilst filling up with diesel (Paul was butted). The [petrol] station over the road had chicks running about [the forecourt]. A tough call [as to which one to use].
A33 to Kasane. Hid food in the bin [for the foot and mouth barrier].
A leopard very kindly crossed the road in front of us at 9am.
To Kasane on the Chobe river ready for a game drive. Stopped for some vultures en route.
A great game drive. Most of the Chobe Park is bone dry and spotting animals is very easy. I can't remember what we saw (other than a Carmine bee-eater -- crimson red, very pretty) apart from a great waterhole incident. Several families of elephants piled in, groups joining around us. Then a hundred or more sable antelope piled in. The elephants with their young all together with the sable. Hippos and a water buffalo (I think) were in and around the river.
Then through Botswana immigration, 10 minutes out to Namibian immigration by boat -- Namibia because they own that part of the Chobe river. Then a 45 minute journey to Sikoma Island, Zambia for the night.
Sikoma Island S17.74875 E25.17588 Elev. 923m.
